BEING CONTENT

Another day of blessing and encouragement.

After having our breakfast at "Mie Ahok", one of my favorite noodle from Palembang. We plan to visit my eldest brother's house for a relax gathering.

On the way, I saw a lot of inspiring scene of life in Jakarta that touches me in a very humbling way.

Like this kid, busy helping his father at work.

What touches me is the wording on his worned t-shirt. "Bahagia itu simple, cukup syukuri apa yang kita ada" - "Happiness is simple, simply appreciate what we have"

The words rhyme in my mind and I start to document few more event that touches my heart in every way.

It is a poweful message that the kid shared with me in his busy day.

Arrived at my eldest brother's place, the first thing i notice is the picture of bible verse:

Phillipians 4: 12-13 reminds me saying "I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned THE SECRET of being CONTENT IN ANY and EVERY SITUATION, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through HIM WHO GIVES ME STRENGTH".

It is so clear on the message that God wants me to absord and understand today.

To be happy is to be content. And being content is not a situation, or a feeling. Nor it is about material fulfillment. But being content is a decision.

We need and can decide to be happy, by appreciating what we have. And not comparing on what we dont have.

Wow, what a powerful message. Are you content? Are you happy?
