#Day 38: 07 February 2016

HIM WHO GIVES US STRENGTH

I am very happy tonight. It is the family dinner night, a family gathering night before the celebration of Chinese New Year.

I am happy because this is the first time, after so many years, that everyone from the family able to make it, a full team, a full member of Then's family.


I reflect on our family journey and honestly amazed on how God have fulfilled His words in our lives.

His word on 1 Corinthians 10:13 saying "The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure".


Looking at each of my family members I remember the hardship that each one of us have to go through in younger years. How we have to struggle to survive, for a bowl of rice, a thin slice of dignity when most people mocked the lifestyle we are having, the synical comment about the unfortunate situation that we had at that time.

None of that, were, beyond than what each one of us can stand. His words is fulfilled. We passed those years by His grace.

We laugh, we shout, we smile and we care. I know, i am sure, God is with us. Though not everyone is yet accepting Jesus as the saviour. But I know, He would be happy for us.

Phillipians 4: 12-13 reminds me saying "I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned THE SECRET of being CONTENT IN ANY and EVERY SITUATION,,  whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through HIM WHO GIVES ME STRENGTH".

Now, the journey continues. Now I know that I need to always, again I say, always, remember His words, His promise.

Yes, we know what it is to be in need. We know now what it is to have plenty. Now I need to continuously learn the secret of happiness, which is to learn to be content in every way.

And know that I can do all this, we can do all this, we can move forward as family, as a unit, as a community, through Him, only with Him, who gives us strength!

For we know that, Psalm 46:1 says "God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble."

And Proverbs 18:10 ensures us that "The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe".

Thank you Jesus. With a heart full of gratitude, looking at my parents and my siblings, remembering all the hard sweet memories, I want to say, thank you Jesus.

Be blessed. Be happy. Enjoy your time with your love ones.
