#Day 93: 02 April 2016
BEING STRONG
Ups and downs, that is what I can say about my life over the last few weeks. And today, it is heading to the downs until I witness what it meant by "being strong".
After the busy week supporting my in law on her operation, followed by slow recovery due to low blood platelets, she finished her follow up session with positive improvement on the platelets. Then went to airport to drop my father in law heading home to Jakarta.
A bit relax, I decided to do some physical work, washing my toilet. Suddenly Constance called me and said, Francis's head is bleeding!!
I rushed to him seeing my wife holding his forehead with some ice covered with cloth. I took the cloth off and directly saw a flow of blood and clear tear of flesh, I even saw a white glimse of the skull.
Long story cut short, I learned a whole lot from my son. From Francis. He went through the operation with smile. Went in the operation theater with Elsye, while responding to my question "Happy heart is a?" .. "Medicine", he said. Quoting Proverbs 17:22
I learned and see how strong this boy is. While the doctor and nurses expected him to cry, he smile and stay cool. He was scared and nervous, but he keep it inside and stay strong and courageous. I am trully proud of him.
He teaches me to be strong. To be courageous. To continue. To not be afraid. He, a 7 years old boy. Thank you Francis.
Joshua 1:9 NLT - This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Another day full of blessing.
Be strong Francis, the operation is completed. Now be strong and recover. Love you.
