#Day151: 31 May 2016, Tuesday
BLESSING IN DISGUISED
Hebrews 12:11 - "All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness"
Out of nothing, the pain at my right ankle which I start to feel on Monday afternoon is getting beyond my expectation. I need a doctor.
Dr. Chua at Sunway Medical Center helps to examine my situation and according to his quick check, it is the Achilles Tendon, swollen, and possible tear. The confusion is that I did not perform any extreme exercise prior or I did not do anything other than normal working activity on Monday. Jokingly I said to him that I just realized that my role, being HR Leader can also cause physical health situation.
He suggested MRI before we decide on next steps and asked me to be admitted for resting. After
a period of discomfort experience at admission section, I finally awarded to the room.
Due to overwhelming visits of patient at Sunnway, only after 10pm that I managed to have my MRI scan. With the result will be know tomorrow.
All of these makes me think. I need to make a decision if I want to see this as blessing and smile it off, or I want to see this as condemnation. To decide if I want to be happy or sorrowful.
I decided for the first. I decided to see this as a blessing though all these causing me a hectic period of pain, challenges at work as well as not able to serve my family.
But I always believe, everything happens for a reason, a good one, a good reason.
I want to hold the promise of His Words in Romans 5:3-5 - "More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us."
I want to learn and experience all these: endurance, character and hope.
I want to believe that the painful experience is a blessing in disguise. A blessing as part of my character uplifting.
Philippians 4:8 - "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."
Another day full of blessing. And thank you for all friends that took your time to spent some time with me at hospital.
