#Day153: 2 June 2016, Thursday
DISCHARGED
Sitting at the discharge counter, I noticed one thing that most of the people around are having.
One thing that seems to make everyone shows their eagerness in getting it while fighting with their patience and for some their tiredness.
Everyone is eager for their queue number to be called for discharged! To leave the hospital. And I am one of them. Waiting for my turn to leave the hospital.
To think about it, it is kinda interesting that we are so keen to leave the place that have helped us and make us better. The place where we sort of embrace the treatment of the people in there when we are in need of their help.
Why? I guess it is because we know we were made better, cured or recovered. Hence we are keen to move on and leave the painful experience in there and refused to carry it with us.
I guess it is because we do not want to have another similar experience, we do not want to stay in our old situation, our old sickness.
Shouldn't this be the same in every aspect of our life?
2 Corinthians 5:17 - "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come"
We are a new creation in Christ. We should be so keen to leave our old lives, leave our old bad behavior, our old arrogant attitude, our old baggage, our old negative selves!
We have been healed, the old has passed. The new has come. We have been 'discharged' from our oldself. We are a new creation!
Our tasks is to move on, to be able to be fruitful. To show the fruit of the healing, fruit of the Spirit.
Galatians 5:22-23 - "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."
The question is, are we? Have we really accept the fact that we have been discharged?
Another day full of blessing.
