#Day154: 3 June 2016, FRIDAY

WRONG CHAIN LOCK

It was 11.30pm, we arrived home from dinner and night out with our relatives visiting from Indonesia and were surprised with the statement that came out from my wife mouth

"Oh no, I used a wrong chain lock", and gave that sorry look. It was the lock that we supposed to disposed as we do not have they keys anymore.

Thank God in the highest place that we are blessed with kind neigbours. Few of them came and tried to help (the power of network). A lot of of theories and tools were used, one of them even injured his forehead during the process of breaking the chain.

After about 50 minutes of effort, finally the chain is broken. And we can enter our house. After passing our appreciation to everyone, we ended the night.

I am wondering if this is what false teaching impact to us. False teaching that creates a wrong attitude and character in us, that blocking us away from the smooth path to enter and understand God's plan for us. False teaching that dividing us, create obstacles for us to be near to God. We are locked outside.

Romans 16:17 - I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them

But God is good, all the time. Not part of the time, not most of the time. He is good all the time!

We can avoid these false teaching with the help our friends, our neighbors, our community, our church. We can break the chain locks with a little help from our friend.

Just like one of my favorites song by Beatles:

What would you think if I sang out of tune
Would you stand up and walk out on me?
Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song
And I'll try not to sing out of key
Oh I get by with a little help from my friends
Mm I get high with a little help from my friends
Mm gonna try with a little help from my friends

And the amazing part is, Jesus himself is our friend. With Him we definitely able to break any chains!

John 15:15 - "No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you"

I thank God for this understanding. For this experience. I believe God has put me at FGCC church and planted the FRESH values in me so I can avoid any false teaching. And even further, He provided me with friends should I need to break any wrong lock chains.

Another day full of blessing.
