#Day180: 29 June 2016, Wednesday

MOM IS HERE

Proverbs 31:25-30 - "Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.” ..."

My parents is in town! They're here, visiting me and family. it is always a great feeling to meet them especially my mom. Totally different from my cool dad who is the most patience person in the world.

My mom, she is one of a kind.

She is a fighter, I remember how I used to help her to sell cookies at the porch of her friend shops, fighting off her dignity in a change of our survival;

She is a teacher, I remember how I used to taste the coldness of her belt on my skin when I was being discipline;

She is a joker, I remember how many times she made a silly statement that I can easily anticipate and laugh about;

To think about all these, makes me proud to know and have such a strong character, values as well as paradigm in my life which naturally embedded into my own characters.

I wonder if the same character, values, paradigm and trust of Mother Mary, the mother of Jesus, are embedded in our characters, in pur lifes.

She is a fighter, looking at her own son wrongly accused yet continue to walk through the experience

She is a teacher, teaching us about what it means to be faithful and what it means to surrender to God

I am happy that I can have and know them both in my life. And I pray, in the name of Jesus that I can learn and build my character using their real life example.

I pray that I can continue to learn from them, and can proudly say "Mom is here"
