#Day193: 12 July 2016, Tuesday

SILENT IS GOLD WHEN  ...

Proverbs 17:28 ESV - "Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent"

A lot of people said "Silent is Gold".

In a "silence", I see a thin line between being polite versus being ignorance.

The thin line is where sincerity plays its role.

I also learned that it is difficult to shows the sincerity in the middle of a change process. A lot of time we are clouded by legacy perceptions and the desire of keeping the legacy (be it mindset or behavior or power)

I guess thats when "Silent is gold" won the situation.

Instead of breaking the silent, people decided to play wait and see (but with the price to pay - less engagement of the sincere ones)

This short notes came from my facebook status days ago.

I personally learned that silent is not gold at all if it is done for a wrong purpose, that silent can became ignorance or even worst, repesents fear

Silent can be a gold when it walks side by side with sincerity - which is the quality of being free from pretense, deceit, or hypocrisy. (Google definition)

What say you? Which one are you?

A day to remember.
