#Day182: 01July 2016, Friday
THE WAITING
Isaiah 40:31 - "But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint"
Harbour! That's an obvious choice of dinner place for my brother in law. 3 years ago I brought him to the restaurant and since then everytime he's in Malaysia he always want to have another round of experience with the steamboat (that time we visited the restaurant 3 times in a week)
And tonight we are back to the restaurant. The waiting is over, he patiently and finally came back and relive the moment. And Yes, we did it! It is like fullness of food-joy all over again. And Yes, we tasted the goodness of being patience.
Have you ever had such experience before? Patiently waiting for something or someone and feels the joy and happiness when we finally meet the person or the thing?
I guess that's how it feels like when we are waiting for the Lord. I wonder if the price of waiting on the Lord, the joy of meeting Him is like how my brother in law enjoys the food tonight, but with a zillion scale of comparison.
I believe the joy and happiness will be indeed a zillion (not less but even more that I can't expressed in words) times bigger, greater and superb.
Lamentations 3:25 says "The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him."
While Isaiah 30:18 says "Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him."
I pray that I can patiently waiting for The Lord hence renew my strength and one day can say that the waiting is over and I am with him.
What a day full of food, oh I meant blessing :)
And oh ya, the waiting is over, we will have another round of 3 visits in a week experience :)
