YOUNG AND FAITHFUL

1 Tim 4:12 KJV - Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

I started the day with a meeting with a young lady, Ko Ed and Robby. Part of the Building Uplift Project that our church is working on.

A young lady who I respect and admire, a 25 years young professional commercial coorporate lawyer.

What I found admirable is the fact that out of her busy professional schedule, she told us that she used to serve as Workship Leader in her church. And sometimes she leads 3 services on a Sunday.

I like lawyers, I used to dream to be a lawyer. So in a nutshell I know what it meant to be a lawyer. I know how busy their work can be. But her faithfulness is something to admire about.

I asked her if she would be interested to share about her life, her time management, her serving, with our Young Professional Community (YPC). It could be a good networking and learning for all of us. She said why not.

Her story reminds me of the message from Proverbs 3:1-35, saying:

"My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. ..."

A lot of people asked how or want to be successful at young age. But I think the correct word would not be young and successful,  it should be young and faithful.

What a day full of blessing. I may not be young anymore, but I told myself, I want to be faithful.
