#Day131: 11 May 2016, Wednesday

MOTHER

"Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.” - Proverbs 31:25-30

The proverbs described her so well, the proverbs described her perfectly, she, my mother.

It was worrying when I heard about my mom situation from my brother, it is about her heart condition. Actually it is a known issue, it's just that she is one of the most stuborn lady that I've ever known :) stuborn for her principle.

And that includes trusting a doctor!

My brother and I are trying to convince my mom to monitor her heart. Which after several effort finally she gave in and agreed to carry the heart beat monitor with her.

It was not a great news hearing the abnormality of her heart beat. I decided to rushed home to Jakarta to meet her.

She is a great mom. Full of kindness. Although her childhood was full of sacrifices. She taught me how to always put others needs above my own. How to always focus on learning and develop ourselves and prepare ourselves for the future. She is my hero.

I know she will always be there for me, no matter what. So I decided to give my best to find the best time to visit her (and my dad, my parents) on more regular basis.

2 Kings 4:30 ESV wrote it so well , "Then the mother of the child said, “As the Lord lives and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So he arose and followed her.

I pray that I can always give my best for my parents. As God have commanded us to do, let us honor our father and mother, by giving them the best we can give.

I pray that one day, my parents will accept Jesus as their savior, as their God.

I blessed them in the name of Jesus, Amen.
